Ready to Cook Eloohoto Snails are hygienically prepared for the ultimate benefit of the consumers. To extract the snails from the shell we introduced the snail into boiling water for about 2 minute forcing the snails to attempt crawling out from the shells. This method makes it easy for deshelling.
After the snails are extracted from the shells, we use fresh lime or lemon solution to wash the snails. Lemon or lime has acidic properties which help to remove slime, dirt and diseases. Afterwards, the snails are washed in clean water.
Next, Eloohoto Snails are dried and baked in a special oven to help in the preservation of the snails and maintain the freshness. The last stage is packing of the snails in moisture free bags to further extend the shelf-life. Eloohoto Snails are a good source of protein, iron, calcium, vitamins and antioxidants. Snail is good for the heart because it contains omega-3 fatty acid that can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiac arrest and stroke.
